WILL DOGS CHASE CATS IN HEAVEN: PEOPLE, PETS, AND WILD ANIMALS IN THE AFTERLIFE
“Will our pets and wild animals greet us in Heaven?” This is a question millions of pet owners and wildlife advocates would like to have answered. After carefully researching this topic, I’ve concluded the answer can be a confident YES!
If you’re looking for another sentimental treatment of the topic, this book is not for you. But if you would like to read a book that is thoroughly researched and, I believe, consistent with Biblical revelation, Will Dogs Chase Cats in Heaven? is the book for you. I include many of my personal experiences as well as anecdotal stories from novelists, popular animal researchers, and pet owners. It also includes testimonies from well-known theologians and scholars, such as C.S. Lewis, John Calvin, Peter Kreeft, and others, who believe in the probability of animals inhabiting Heaven with God’s people. Click on “description” below for a summary.

A revised and expanded of DEFENDING YOUR FAITH; RELIABLE ANSWERS FOR A NEW GENERATION OF SEEKERS AND SKEPTICS (Kregel Publications) includes the apologetic chapters in the original book but expanded to include updated information. It also includes additional chapters to counter new challenges from evolutionary biology, the so-called “new” atheism, and postmodernism.
The first edition of Defending Your Faith has been my most popular apologetic book for more than two decades and reprinted several times. It’s endorsed by the late Elliot Miller, editor-in-chief of the Christian Research Journal, theologian R. C. Sproul, and other well-known Christian apologists.
This revised, updated, expanded version is written for personal study as well as for apologetic classes in Bible colleges, home Bible studies, and senior youth groups. Although written for a general audience, as Dr. Rod Rosenbladt, retired Professor of Systematic Theology and Christian Apologetics, pointed out, Defending Your Faith is “meaty enough to challenge the educated skeptic.” This makes Defending Your Faith an excellent book for non-Christian readers willing to investigate the evidence for Christianity.

Thanks Bruce, I’ve added your work email to my blog list. Lisa and I miss church and seeing all our friends. Unfortunately, Lisa has a potentially serious respiratory problem so we have to be especially careful for her not to be exposed to the virus. But this too will pass. Dan, I submit to a wonderful book on the subject of apologetics titled “The Faith” by Charles Colson. It is the best I’ve ever read. I look forward to joining your Blog.
Yours in Christ,
Jim Turnbull
I’ve read some of Colson, and he is a knowledgable, insightful researcher and writer. A great loss for the church with his passing, but a blessing for him and Heaven. Not familiar with “The Faith,” but it must be good if it’s your favorite apologetic book.

Thanks Dan for your excellent effort to stand for Christianity as a true reality and never just a fiction or an idea of the past as many of our modern intellectuals state because they lack one thing called Faith. As Jesus himself told Thomas the apostle two thousand years ago you believe because you see but happy are those who believe without seeing.
Thanks, Chris for your kind and encouraging words. And Amen to what you noted. I’d be glad to add you to my private blog email list if you are interested. I send out weekly notices for each blog post and do not share email addresses.

I live in Cornwall England and am a member of a Creationist group trying to put that message into churches
I hope you are successful. Perhaps this will help, what I posted in some of the groups I belong that responded in large numbers:
The responses to my blog this week has been so overwhelming that I simply do not have time to respond to all of them. But I want you to know that I am not voicing a personal opinion on this issue, because this should not be a divisive issue that divides the Christian family. As a Christian apologists, we recognize that we have more leeway than in theology, which means we do not have to give the definitive answer, as long as our answers are within biblical boundaries. Our task in apologetics is to remove obstacles to faith, and this is certainly one of them for unbelievers. Once an unbeliever becomes a Christian, they can study the issues and make their own decisions. Also, please understand that essential doctrines always focus on the person and work of Jesus. Cardinal are generally accepted by all orthodox (Bible believing) Christians but they are not essential to our salvation, such as the age of the earth. Debatable “doctrines” we are free to disagree on, usually because they are not explicit in Scripture. Blessing to all of you and I respect each of your opinions and thank you for your comments.
