WILL DOGS CHASE CATS IN HEAVEN: PEOPLE, PETS, AND WILD ANIMALS IN THE AFTERLIFE

“Will our pets and wild animals greet us in Heaven?” This is a question millions of pet owners and wildlife advocates would like to have answered. After carefully researching this topic, I’ve concluded the answer can be a confident YES!

If you’re looking for another sentimental treatment of the topic, this book is not for you. But if you would like to read a book that is thoroughly researched and, I believe, consistent with Biblical revelation, Will Dogs Chase Cats in Heaven? is the book for you. I include many of my personal experiences as well as anecdotal stories from novelists, popular animal researchers, and pet owners. It also includes testimonies from well-known theologians and scholars, such as C.S. Lewis, John Calvin, Peter Kreeft, and others, who believe in the probability of animals inhabiting Heaven with God’s people. Click on “description” below for a summary.

“A powerful case for animal immortality, well-researched and written.”  Theologian & Scholar Dr. John Warwick Montgomery

A revised and expanded of DEFENDING YOUR FAITH; RELIABLE ANSWERS FOR A NEW GENERATION OF SEEKERS AND SKEPTICS  (Kregel Publications) includes the apologetic chapters in the original book but expanded to include updated information. It also includes additional chapters to counter new challenges from evolutionary biology, the so-called “new” atheism, and postmodernism.

The first edition of Defending Your Faith has been my most popular apologetic book for more than two decades and reprinted several times. It’s endorsed by the late Elliot Miller,  editor-in-chief of the Christian Research Journal, theologian R. C. Sproul, and other well-known Christian apologists.

This revised, updated, expanded version is written for personal study as well as for apologetic classes in Bible colleges, home Bible studies, and senior youth groups. Although written for a general audience, as Dr. Rod Rosenbladt, retired Professor of Systematic Theology and Christian Apologetics, pointed out, Defending Your Faith is “meaty enough to challenge the educated skeptic.” This makes Defending Your Faith an excellent book for non-Christian readers willing to investigate the evidence for Christianity.

    1. Thanks for you interest, Cindy. I’ve added you to my blog email list. I usually send out notices on Monday, the day I (usually) post a new weekly blog article.

  1. Please…..Please….. please order it through your local Christian bookshop… as all Amazon want to do is put people ….in this case independent bookshops…. of business…my tutor when I was doing last part of a Theo degree Dr Ian Markham also maintained that animals have souls and will be in heaven…. however the question that presents itself to me is that will the same criteria apply to animals as to humans? Acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Saviour? Dear f so how’s can animals do that, and do they sin?

    1. I am sympathetic about the demise of Christian bookstores. I used to love to browse through my favorite Christian bookstore. But, sadly, they are not as common as they used to be, and more and more people are buying their books through Amazon and other online outlets. Publishers are going to sell their books through the avenues that people purchase them, or they too will go out of business.

About your question on animals. I spend a lot of space in my book dealing with this topic, and I hope you buy the book because it will answer your question and most of the others people raise. But in a nutshell, animals are not fallen. They were cursed due to Adam and Eve’s fall. So in this sense they do not need a “savior,” as do we humans. Still, as I explain in the book, creation’s redemption (which would include animals’) is wholly tied to human redemption. Paul explains in Romans 8: 19-23, although there is much more I add to this in my book. Thanks for your comments.

    2. Agreed. Use a local bookseller at least please folks. Some of them are online, small, God honouring works of faith. I could tell you about 4 or 5 in the UK, and of course, there are still many, many non-profit Christian bookshops.

  2. Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the web the
easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people
think about worries that they plainly don’t know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having
    side-effects , people could take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

  5. Hi Dan! I have your book “Defending Your Faith “. I really like it!! I do have a question about something someone asked? That is, what evidence is there for Hebrew slaves being in Egypt?

    1. Of course we have the Bible, which is a proven historical and reliable document. In other words, if it has been demonstrated to reliable everywhere it can be checked-out by non-biblical evidences, we can trust it in areas that cannot be substantiated. Having said this, there may be evidences about the Hebrew in captivity in Egypt, but I have never personally investigated this. If you have an interest there is likely other places to research. You might begin with the Christian Research Institute.I believe their website is http://www.equip.org.
